Patronage for Nervous and Mental Afflictions

Dymphna was fourteen when her mother died. Damon is said to have been afflicted with a mental illness, brought on by his grief. He sent messengers throughout his town and other lands to find some woman of noble birth, resembling his wife, who would be willing to marry him. When none could be found, his evil advisers told him to marry his own daughter. Dymphna fled from her castle together with St. Gerebran, her confessor and two other friends. Damon found them in Belgium. He gave orders that the priest's head be cut off. Then Damon tried to persuade his daughter to return to Ireland with him. When she refused, he drew his sword and struck off her head. She was then only fifteen years of age. Dymphna received the crown of martyrdom in defense of her purity about the year 620. She is the patron of those suffering from nervous and mental afflictions. Many miracles have taken place at her shrine, built on the spot where she was buried in Gheel, Belgium.

I created this unique bracelet honoring a great Saint, St. Dymphna using a 3rd class relic medal of the Saint.  Using as well other Catholic medals including St. Benedict, St. Anthony, Our Lady of Victory with Don Bosco, Archangel St. Raphael, Our Lady of Fatima, Sacred Heart of Jesus, St. Lazarus and St. George.

Adding to this bracelet very unique angel charms and a stunning large Bali-style flower to make the gorgeous wedding cake lampwork beads stand out.  The combination of beads and colors are very unique as well, yellow with purple one of my favorite combinations.

St. Benedict (born at Nursia, Italy, in 480) had a profound veneration for the holy Cross and for our Saviour Crucified. In virtue of the Sign of the Cross, he wrought many miracles and exercised great power over the spirits of darkness. In consequence of the great veneration in which St. Benedict was held from the early Middle Ages, it followed that a Medal was struck, one side of which represents St. Benedict holding the Cross in one hand and the Holy Rule in the other. Around the image of St. Benedict are these words in Latin "May his presence protect us in the hour of death." St. Benedict has ever been the patron of the dying, because of the circumstances attending his own most glorious death, for he breathed forth his soul while standing in prayer before the Most Blessed Sacrament.

The reverse of the Medal shows the image of the Cross. Around the margin are the initials of Latin words which form verses supposed to have originated with the holy Father Benedict himself. The English translation is: "Be gone Satan! Suggest not to me thy vain things. The cup thou profferest me is evil; drink thou thy poison." In the angles formed by the arms of the Cross are the letters C.S.P.B., signifying "Cross of the holy Father Benedict." The letters on the Cross itself have this meaning: "May the holy Cross be my light; let not the dragon be my guide."

I created this unique bracelet honoring St. Benedict using a St. Benedict large medal and also using several Italian Catholic medals which include Our Lady of Sorrows with St. Peregrine, Sacred Heart of Child Jesus,  Holy Child of Atocha, Archangel St. Gabriel, Our Lady of Victory with Don Bosco and others.

Beads I used are a very unique bumpy beads that I was taken away with it's uniqueness with green and blue over black.  I also used beautiful Jasper Gemstone beads and glass blue beads.

Glorious St. Benedict, sublime model of virtue, pure vessel of God's grace! Behold me humbly kneeling at your feet. I implore you in your loving kindness to pray for me before the throne of God. To you I have recourse in the dangers that daily surround me. Shield me against my selfishness and my indifference to God and to my neighbor. Inspire me to imitate you in all things. May your blessing be with me always, so that I may see and serve Christ in others and work for His kingdom.

What a blessing it is to feel the protection of such a divine Saint that God has granted the power to intercede for us in our time of need. May St. Benedict be that Saint when you find yourself needed a special protection from evil.

Inspired

I have been inspired lately to create earrings not as a fashion statement but also as a statement of our faith.

Many woman cannot wear bracelets due to their job nor wear necklaces and the only item of jewelry they wear are earrings and still want to carry a reminder of Our Lord's and Blessed Mothers grace and love.

That is why I created these earrings after much taught if I should or not, but the inspiration kept coming to me.

St Benedict St Michael Saints Religious Medals Bracelet

I wanted to create a bracelet with two very powerful intercessors against evil, St. Benedict and St. Michael.

I call upon their assistance when I feel the negative forces at work. I had a previous experience where my oldest son was having a difficult time with a negative force after him and when I prayed for him and invoked St. Benedict and St. Michael thru the Precious Blood of Christ, I fell this warmth feeling in the room and even my son witnessed a white light coming to the room and formed the shape of St. Benedict which he then walked into my son's room and peace came once again.

I cannot thank St. Benedict and St. Michael enough for that intercession. My son is now a firm believer and wears St. Benedict medal all the time.

If you are going thru a difficult time associated with evil, make sure you always carry with you a St. Benedict medal after being blessed and ask for his intercession thru prayer. I cannot emphasize enough how powerful his and St. Michael's intercessions are

She was with child because she wore the Aztec Maternity Belt.

In 1531 a "Lady from Heaven" appeared to a poor Indian at Tepeyac, a hill northwest of Mexico City; she identified herself as the Mother of the True God, instructed him to have the bishop build a temple on the site and left an image of herself imprinted miraculously on his tilma, a poor quality cactus-cloth, which should have deteriorated in 20 years but shows no sign of decay 474 years later and still defies all scientific explanations of its origin.

When I wanted to create another necklace in honor of Our Most Humble Lady of Guadalupe, I wanted it to have an ethnic feel and look to it.

I used a beautiful color vintage cameo of Our Lady of Guadalupe set in copper setting and surrounded by turquoise beads. I also added a large turquoise bead and amber. Crosses and other beads are turquoise color howlite beads.

I also added a copper tiny cross and a copper St. Benedict medal.

Our Lady of Fatima Charm Bracelet

O Most Holy Virgin Mary, Queen of the most Holy Rosary, you were pleased to appear to the children of Fatima and reveal a glorious message. St. Clare Bracelet

ST. CLAIRE: On February, 1958 Pope Pius XII designated her as the patron saint of television on the basis that, when she was too ill to attend a Mass, she had been Miraculously able to see and hear it on the wall of her room.
She is also considered the patron saint of eye disease; eyes.

I created this bracelet using a St. Clare relic surrounding the medal with other Catholic medals such a Medjugorje medal, St. Benedict, Holy Family and others. I used very pleasing and soothing colors to enhance this bracelet.

Glorious Saint Jude, with faith in your goodness I ask your help today. As one of Christ's chosen Apostles, you are a pillar and foundation of His Church on earth. You are among the elders who stand always before God's throne. Brother Jude, you are renowned for your kinship with Christ and your physical resemblance to our Savior. Help me remain close to Christ and resemble Him in my outlook and actions. Holy Apostle, you are venerated for your work of preaching the gospel and your faithfulness to Christ by a martyr's death. Assist me to preach the good news of Christ by word and example, and remain steadfast in His service as you were. From your place of glory, do not forget the needs and difficulties of Christ's little ones like me, still struggling on the way home to God. St. Jude is one of my favorite saints that I love making a bracelet in his honor. I feel his loving peaceful energy and I like to convey that in my bracelets and I mostly choose colors that convey his love. Which most of the time is green combined with other soothing colors.

St. Lucy Relic Religious Charm Bracelet

Patronage: Against blindness, eye disease, eye problems, salesmen, sore eyes, throat infections, writers, hemorraghes, authors

Rich, young Christian of Greek ancestry. Raised in a pious family, she vowed her life to Christ. Her Roman father died when she was young. Her mother, Eutychia, arranged a marriage for her. For three years she managed to keep the marriage on hold. To change the mother's mind about the girl's new faith, Lucy prayed at the tomb of Saint Agatha, and her mother's long haemorrhagic illness was cured. Her mother agreed with Lucy's desire to live for God, and Lucy became known as a patron of those with maladies like her mother's. Her rejected pagan bridegroom, Paschasius, denounced Lucy as a Christian to the governor of Sicily. The governor sentenced her to forced prostitution, but when guards went to fetch her, they could not move her even when they hitched her to a team of oxen. The governor ordered her killed instead. After torture that included having her eyes torn out, she was surrounded by bundles of wood which were set afire; they went out. She prophesied against her persecutors, and was executed by being stabbed to death with a dagger. Her name is listed in the prayer "Nobis quoque peccatoribus" in the Canon of the Mass. Legend says her eyesight was restored before her death. This and the meaning of her name led to her connection with eyes, the blind, eye trouble, etc.
