Saint Barbara became the patron saint of artillerymen, military engineers, gunsmiths, miners and anyone else who worked with cannon and explosives, against thunder, lightning,and sudden death.
O God, Who didst adorn Thy holy Virgin and Martyr Barbara with extraordinary fortitude in the confession of the Faith, and didst console her in the most atrocious torments; grant us through her intercession perseverance in the fulfillment of Thy law and the grace of being fortified before our end with the holy Sacraments, and of a happy death. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
I was able to find such a beautiful vintage Mother of Pearl medal of St. Barbara made in Italy to create this bracelet honoring St. Barbara.
I wanted to create it very colorful and mixed materials from lampwork, glass pearl and wedding cake beads

So beautiful and colorful and I have never heard of wedding cake beads which ones are they? I bet it would be neat to create a wedding bracelet for a bride using them!!
