Our Lady of Victory Necklace

Today  I finished this beautiful necklace honoring Our Lady of Victory.  For some time now I had been wanting to create a necklace with turquoise and today that inspiration came to me using a beautiful and unique cross which I added a beautiful figural medal of Our Lady of Victory with Baby Jesus.

To this necklace I added large turquoise, large rough Garnet beads and darker stones from turquoise stones making it more unique

"Fiesta de Angeles" Let the Angels Rejoice Multi Strand Necklace

For the past couple of days I have been feeling the energy of angels and was inspired to create this necklace and just to imagine when angels rejoice, sparks of all colors can just illuminate the heavens and those lights fall upon us.

This is a very unique necklace I created with vintage Mexican silvertone chain, figural Medal of Our Lady of San Juan de los Lagos, A color picture of Our Lady of Guadalupe, red enamel medal of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, silvertone medal of Our Lady of the Conquest, lapis lazuli cross, turquoise and gemstone pendant and vintage crucifix.

Vintage and New Milagros Catholic Necklace

On this necklace made of Milagros, I added a unique handcrafted pierced heart milagro with chalice on center of heart representing Sacred Heart of Jesus.

I also added smaller milagro charms, a couple of sterling silver and stabilized turquoise charms including a large howlite cross and a two sided medal of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Includes several peruvian beads as well. Chain is vintage

MILAGROS

Milagros "Miracles" are small devotional charms that are traditionally used in most Latin American Countries. These votives are placed in small shrines, church, nichos, retablos, saints or altars.

Milagros also refers to an ancient aspect of Hispanic Folk Culture: Small silver or gold votive offerings.

A person attaches a Milagro to a saint for a special request of a miracle for a particular aliment of the body.

ST. KATERI TEKAKWITHA RELIC RELIGIOUS MEDALS BRACELET

ST. KATERI TEKAKWITHA
Native American from the Turtle Clan, she was known as 'Lily of the Mohawks'.

Kateri Tekakwitha, known as “the Lily of the Mohawk”, was born in 1656 of a captive Algonquin mother and an Iroquois chieftain. Her mother was a Christian but dared not baptize Kateri or her younger brother. When an epidemic of smallpox broke out in 1660, the little girl lost her mother and brother, perhaps also her father at that time; she herself nearly succumbed to the malady.

Her uncle, who adopted her, later wanted her to marry a young Iroquois her own age, but she refused, having already experienced the horror of the Iroquois brutalities. When in 1675 Father Jacques de Lamberville, Jesuit missionary, discovered on the banks of the Mohawk River this “beautiful lily”, he transplanted her to the mission of St. Francis Xavier near Montreal, which had been founded a few years before. She received her first Communion there on Christmas day of 1676.

In 1679, on the feast of the Annunciation, with the authorization of one of the Fathers at the mission, Kateri privately pronounced a vow of perpetual chastity and consecrated herself to the Blessed Virgin. From that time on, she and her rosary were inseparable. Her health had never been strong, and her penances contributed to weakening it further. It was during Holy Week of 1680 that this young Indian maiden quietly expired, invoking the names of Jesus and Mary. Miracles and favors were attributed to her soon after her death.

I created this bracelet with much love and admiration to St. Kateri Tekakwitha- using turquoise, copper, story teller charm, Zuni bear and horse beads made with gemstones. Catholic medals used are: St. Joan of Arc, St. Padre Pio, St. Vincent de Paul, St. John of God, Our Lady of Czestochowa, Pope John Paul II and Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Turquoise Howlite Ornate Cross

I attended a semi-annual gem and bead show here in Tucson and found this beautiful ornate cross that would be perfect to add a bail and add it to a beaded necklace or just use alone on a chain.
