Vintage & New Medals Charm Braclet

I truly loved creating this three strand charm bracelet - the old world meeting the new world. I used vintage copper chain, vintage St. Therese Relic Detente, other vintage medals, St. Damiano Relic and a large Our Lady of San Juan De Los Lagos medal. Includes St. Patrick, Miraculous Medal, Praying Hands and many beads and gemstones.

St. Francis of Assisi

St. Francis of Assisi, lover of all creation, champion of justice, Patron Saint of animals and the environment, founded the Franciscan Order.
St. Francis of Assisi experienced all of God's creation as sacred. He saw God in "Brother Sun" and "Sister Moon." He preached to the birds and animals.

Father Francis and his companions were making a trip through the Spoleto Valley near the town of Bevagna. Suddenly, Francis spotted a great number of birds of all varieties. There were doves, crows and all sorts of birds. Swept up in the moment, Francis left his friends in the road and ran after the birds, who patiently waited for him. He greeted them in his usual way, expecting them to scurry off into the air as he spoke. But they moved not.
Filled with awe, he asked them if they would stay awhile and listen to the Word of God. He said to them: “My brother and sister birds, you should praise your Creator and always love him: He gave you feathers for clothes, wings to fly and all other things that you need. It is God who made you noble among all creatures, making your home in thin, pure air. Without sowing or reaping, you receive God’s guidance and protection.”
At this the birds began to spread their wings, stretch their necks and gaze at Francis, rejoicing and praising God in a wonderful way according to their nature. Francis then walked right through the middle of them, turned around and came back, touching their heads and bodies with his tunic.
Then he gave them his blessing, making the sign of the cross over them. At that they flew off and Francis, rejoicing and giving thanks to God, went on his way.

I was inspired to create this bracelet in a whimsical way with the same respect, honor and admiration to St. Francis. I added a whimsical cat brooch, handpainted glass beads with horses and birds, wood beads.

I created this bracelet with a beautiful image of our Blessed Mother and Child button medal with vintage pearls and surrounded by glass lampwork beads and lampwork beads . It has a very pleasing and peaceful feel to it.

Our Lady of Lourdes

Our Lady of Lourdes: France, 1858
Our Lady appeared to 14 year old Bernadette Soubirous in Lourdes, France, 18 times from February through July, 1858. During the apparitions she told Bernadette to dig a hole which later in the day produced a stream of water, bringing about thousands of spiritual and physical cures even to this day. Mary pleaded for "penitence! Penitence! Penitence!" and urged us to "Pray to God for sinners". She called herself the "Immaculate Conception".

O ever Immaculate Virgin, mother of mercy, health of the sick, refuge of sinners, comforter of the afflicted, you know my needs, my troubles, my sufferings, cast me a look of pity. By appearing in the Grotto of Lourdes, you were pleased to make it a priviledged sanctuary, whence you dispense your favours, and already many sufferers have obtained the cure of their infirmities, both spiritual and corporal, I come, therefore, with the most unbounded confidence & implore your maternal intercession.

I love creating a bracelet honoring Our Lady of Lourdes. I also include a water medal and if I can find a unique medal with Our Blessed Mother of Lourdes in the grotto, I include it as well. I also create a one decade rosary bracelet which I also attach to the charm bracelet, that way is easy and practical to carry a rosary with you all the time.

I love the blue color crystals that enhanced this bracelet and the pearls.

From early childhood she was priviledged to hold familiar intercourse with the holy angels. From numerous difficulties and dangers she was delivered by hter holy angel and she once declared that her Guardian Angel did whatever she asked him to do.*

I created this bracelet with heavely blue and a large porcelain angel cameo surrounded by porcelain angels, handcrafted angels made with polymer flowers and crystals. I added patron saint medals to create that heavenly feel to it.

Dear Lord, bless our family. Be so kind as to give us the unity, peace, and mutual love that You found in Your own family in the little town of Nazareth. Saint Joseph, bless the head of our family. Obtain for him the strength, the wisdom, and the prudence he needs to support and direct those under his care. Mother Mary, bless the mother of our family. Help her to be pure and kind, gentle and self-sacrificing. For the more she resembles you, the better will our family be. Lord Jesus, bless the children of our family. Help them to be obedient and devoted to their parents. Make them more and more like You. Let them grow, as You did, in wisdom and age and grace before God and man. Holy Family of Nazareth, make our family and home more and more like Yours, until we are all one family, happy and at peace in our true home with You. Amen.
